Embracing Change For Organisational Success

Posted by B U

Let’s talk about change!

Largely because it’s something that’s been on my mind lately; especially change in organisations.

I don’t know if you’ve noticed it too but there seems to be a collective shift happening. One that’s driven by a craving for more and a readiness to level up, both from leaders and team members.

But, as you know, change is not without challenges. As a result of changes in organisations, some leaders are currently experiencing dwindling commitment, shrinking teams, growth decline, loss of enthusiasm, or a feeling of being stuck in a rut. Does this sound familiar? Well, here’s the thing: change is inevitable (as are the challenges that sometimes come with it), but it’s also an opportunity for growth.

So, if you’re feeling the squeeze and you know it’s time to shake things up, here’s what you can do:

  1. Revisit your vision: what do you want to achieve? (you, your organisation, your team)
  2. Review your mission: how will you get there?
  3. Assess where you are: take stock of the current situation.
  4. Define the next level: clearly state the next big milestone.
  5. Adjust policies and procedures where necessary: ensure they are aligned with your goals.
  6. Invest in development: for yourself and your team/employees.
  7. Establish a solid structure: be clear on how things should work/operate.
  8. Communicate changes: be honest, clear, and transparent.
  9. Seek support: you don’t know it all so seek help.

The steps listed above can be a game-changer if you diligently apply them.

If at any point the going gets tough, remember this: adapt, don’t despair!

Lastly, focus on ‘who’ and ‘what’ you currently have; they’re enough to get you to the next level.

Need help with a big challenge you have right now? Send me a message let’s tackle it together!

Lead Right and Live Light,

Belinda
